Spotify Frequency is a platform to celebrate BIPOC artists when it comes to art, creativity, culture, and community both on and off the Spotify platform.
My responsibilities included leading my team on the creative development from start to finish, including pitching, ideation, branding/identity direction, platform strategy, production, media/PR, and overseeing the global launch of the platform.
For the launch films, we profiled three creators that represented the ethos of Frequency - rising rap artist Yung Baby Tate, viral mashup producer Amorphous, and podcaster duo Van Latham and Rachel Lindsay of the Higher Learning podcast.
We crafted the Frequency platform from the ground up. Starting from the platform name and manifesto, leading into the logo and brand identity, then bringing it to life through the launch films. Frequency is still a continuing program at Spotify and is a means for the brand to engage and connect with Black creators through events, playlists, and programs year round.
